Young Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria has completed a medical at Sunderland ahead of a loan move to the Championship club, according to Sky Sports’ Keith Downie.
A deal on the verge of being done for the past 24 hours is now official, and Liverpool’s 20-year-old midfielder Ovie Ejaria is now a Sunderland player for the remainder of the current season as he joins the Championship side on loan.
Ejaria told Sunderland’s official website: “I’m really happy because I’ve wanted to go out on loan for a while to get regular first-team football under my belt.
“I’d say that I’m a player that likes to get on the ball quite a lot and make things happen, I’ll try to create chances and hopefully score some goals as well. I’ll always give 100% and work hard for the team.”
Ejaria was used twice from the bench in the Premier League for Liverpool last season, totalling six minutes of action.
Ejaria showed great promise in the first half of last season, and many Liverpool fans expected he would make the breakthrough and become a first team regular seeing action as a starter in the cups and off the bench in the league.
