Landing this £45m-rated REAL MADRID star would be perfect way for Liverpool to replace Coutinho !

Our Landlord believes that Real Madrid’s playmaker Marco Asensio would be the perfect replacement for the departed Phillipe Coutinho. Indeed, while life is good on Merseyside right now, few would doubt the fact that the brilliant Brazilian will need replacing.

Despite breaking their club transfer record fee in the January transfer window, the Reds failed to acquire a replacement for Phillipe Coutinho. Before completing his huge money move to Barcelona, the Brazilian proved to be one of the most talented players in the league, and he was by far Liverpool’s most influential player, despite the heroics of Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino.

While the incoming arrival of Naby Keita is likely to augment Jurgen Klopp’s creative options, the Leipzig midfielder surely wasn’t purchased to replace Coutinho. Thus, the Reds must begin to consider replacements for the Barcelona midfielder.

With that in mind, one such replacement is Real Madrid’s superstar in waiting, Marco Asensio.

Despite making 32 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos this season, the Spaniard has only started nine league games for Madrid in La Liga. Considering that Real Madrid are believed to be pursuing a big-name signing in the summer, it is plausible to suggest that Asensio will fall further down the pecking order with the club.

Real Madrid’s number 20 is an exceedingly talented player, and at the age of 22, it’s conceivable that his qualities will improve as his career progresses. He’s highly rated (valued at £45m on Transfermarkt) for being proficient in a number of areas, such as passing, dribbling and shooting.

His attacking quality is evident for all to admire and the idea of him slotting into a Reds side already packed to the rafters with attacking talent should be seriously exciting.

A player of his calibre and status could be the marquee signing that elevates Liverpool to a team who can compete for trophies under Jurgen Klopp’s experienced guidance. / source – Here /
