Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge is set to spend another month on the sidelines with an injury he has sustained while on loan at relegation-threatened West Brom, according to a report.
The Mirror claims that Sturridge, 28, has been dealt with yet another major blow in his career and the chances are that the Baggies will find their relegation confirmed before the England international is fit to play again.
Sturridge joined Albion in January on loan until the end of the season, but broke down just minutes into his third appearance for the Black Country club against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on February 12.
It is understood that West Brom paid £1.5million for his short-term loan, as well as his £120,000-a-week wages to make him the highest paid player at The Hawthorns.
Sturridge had made just 14 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool this season before Jurgen Klopp allowed the former Chelsea and Manchester City forward to leave Anfield on a temporary basis.
He scored three goals in his outings but it seemed that Klopp wanted to shift the England international out of the side due to his hefty wages and inability to steer clear of injury.
West Brom are currently rock bottom of the Premier League and face a battle against the odds to avoid relegation to the Championship. / source – Here
