Liverpool will refuse to sell Mohamed Salah for any price this summer despite interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid.
The Egyptian is favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year award after a scintillating debut campaign at Anfield, where he’s scored 40 goals in 45 appearances for the Reds.
The 25-year-old joined the Reds for £35million from Roma last summer and he will face his former club in the last four of the Champions League after inspiring Liverpool to a 5-1 aggregate win against Manchester City in the previous round.
Real Madrid are said to be interested in signing the winger with Egyptian legend Mido telling Salah he’s ‘ready’ to make the step up at the Bernabeu.
However, Liverpool – understandably – view Salah as a vital part of their side and will refuse to entertain offers this summer, according to the Mirror. Jurgen Klopp has the full backing of the Liverpool board and they will side with him as the German looks to build a side around Salah.
Philippe Coutinho was denied a move to Barcelona last summer but was eventually granted his wish in January for a monstrous £144million fee. Liverpool, though not looking to sell Salah, would look for a similar amount if they ever decide to sell. / source – Here
